You do realize that 1.4 is most likely content locked, and even if its not that a corporate hangar would be a large scale project that takes more time than what is available before the patch has to be content locked so it can pass through Sony's QA, right?
This is even assuming it is not in 1.4.
Either way, your post is pointless, even though I too want hangars. |

Still prob isn't gonna be here 1.4, more likely 1.5 if we're going to get it any time soon.
Not true. Patch notes have historically been released at most one week before the point release, and CCP stated that 1.3 was content locked 1 week after 1.2 was released (3 weeks before 1.3 was released, and 2 weeks before we saw the patch notes)
EDIT: I also mentioned that even if it not content locked, there would not be enough time to develop a hangar system before it is content locked anyway. |

IT would basically work exactly like your Asset Feature of a Merc, only you would have to be able to Distribute the Items to Mercs, and be able to allow access to full fittings. I foresee this with open Market due to the fact you need to be able to "trade" items between the Corp, and the Merc of that Corp. I hope OM comes with Industry. I really want to be make all my HAVs and SMGs that I use.
You're funny. Go read the devblogs in Eve which explain what they had to do to revamp the hangar features in POS earlier this year and perhaps you will understand the coding a little more. |

is this for dropships or something?
The term corporate hangar refers to storage areas accessible by all players, and which players can place anything that they like (not just vehicles).
This actually brings up another thought - you are not in the same station as your corp mates. Anything that they do implement will be dramatically changed once your location actually matters. Perhaps they are trying to figure this out how mercs can travel from station to station before they release the hangars to be sure that they don't have to redesign the entire system a second time, pissing even more people off. Just a thought. |

To be honest, I'm not sure how they plan to handle this. That said, as an Eve player, I wouldn't want to run transport contracts. They are really boring, and for the ISK that Dust bunnies can pay they wouldn't be worth it to me as a pilot. They may just "wave" it away, and say we can transport wherever - they just will need to come up with a good reason lore as to how that is possible.
That said, if they wave it away, it would eliminate one problem, but CCP has already said they don't know how mercs get from location to location - they are saying "an invisible cloaked and indestructible transport ship moves clones and equipment from planet to planet". A bit weak as far as lore goes. |

Possibly, but I think you'll have the same impact. We need Eve players to have a legitimate stake in Dust - right now that is the biggest hurdle. The novelty of OB's wore off more quickly than expected; it was severely underestimated the impact this would have.
CCP needs to think larger to draw in Eve player interest - contract to take POCO's or POS would be a good start, and it would open new battlefields for Dust bunnies at the same time. That said, I don't think transport contracts are a large enough draw.
Wow we are getting off subject.
Back on subject, we do need corporate hangars, I just think that this is a back burner item for now until we get other things better worked out and balanced. |
